• Truckers

I drove about 1 hour in my motorhome to get to an RV park, and for the first time ever, I
was passing the truckers instead of them passing me. Normally they wiz by me when I
drive 70 MPH. I assume that they are driving more conservatively because of the high cost
    of diesel.

Last week, my coach needed roughly 50 gallons of diesel to fill it. I had a 1/2 tank to
start, and putting in $300.00 worth of fuel almost brought it to full. I drove it to Naples
and back to Tampa, which brought it down to a little over half tank. Yesterday I had to put
another $300.00 in it to again bring it to almost a full tank.

I can see why the truckers are slowing down. If I had to put in $600 worth of fuel in just
one week, I hate to imaging what they are spending.

I can understand why truckers would want to drive fast, but normally where I am, the highways sometimes post a lower speed limit specifically for truckers.

If truckers only dealt in local then you wouldn't have these issues where their paid by the mile.

+1. There have been times here in the states where it seems like the politicians favor the trucking industry although I have not noticed it so
    much lately.
