• Golf Carts

6 years ago I moved into a 55+ golf cart community. I love the lifestyle! It is more efficient and sometimes the fastest way to travel locally.

Yesterday, I had the option of driving my car to a place about 5 miles away or use the cart. I chose to use the car. Coming home, traffic was so backed up it went roughly a mile back. If I had chosen the cart, it would have been a carefree trip home on the cart paths.

With Christmas coming up soon, we love to ride the cart in our gated community to look at the various displays.

We can still listen to streamed music from our phones using a bluetooth speaker. Sirius, Pandora, etc.

Life is good in the Tampa area, especially on a golf cart.

Neat... I lived in the Phoenix AZ area, and it was legal to drive those Razor type off-road little ATV cars - some of those dudes tricked them out so far that they were worth $30k.... and zipped around like the bosses of the town.

Get in that puppy more often!!

We recently bought another golf cart (3rd one in the last ten years) and I've upgraded it over the past few months (6" lift kit, new wheels/tires,
steering wheel and underbody LED lights). My wife and I love to ride around town on it and frequently use it to go to the store and shop. Our town's
police will not bother you unless you're being stupid on it. We don't have "cart paths" but have abandoned rail lines (rail trails) that have not been developed that go through the middle of town and allow access to most parts. The number of carts, side by sides and 4 wheelers keep the paths beat down
    and in decent shape.

I wouldn't be without a golf cart. Our townn has a lot of places you can travel to, but some you can't. Accesible to us is Home Depot, Walmart, CVS, Winn-Dixie, Publix, 3 Subway shops, Walgreens, my doctors offuces (the most important thing for a 70+ individual) and a lot more.

If it is possible to do so, I avoid the car at all costs.

We also have 2 gold courses in our community that have closed to golfers. We can ride these golf paths and see the wildlife that congregate, Alligators, Hawks, etc.

My wife and I took over 7 years to find "THE" retirement location. We love it!

Sounds great! I wish my town had cart paths.

Weather here for the past few days has been like summer (in south alabama)
and we take the cart out and run errands or just ride around.

The local cart dealer got a new shipment of carts a couple weeks before Christmas and he's sold quite a few. He still has a good selection, some new and some used.

I'm happy we are now in daylight savings time. Tonight, we went to 4:00 PM mass in the golf cart, and with daylight savings, we were able to go out to eat at a restaurant and still be home before dark.

This will be a weekly thing for us. We have an assortment of restaurants that we can go to in the cart.

    Love it!
