I joined a new net, HobbyNet, the guy who runs it is new at this and runs Wildcat and Internet Rex.
I can send packets out, but I get nothing back, not even a reply from Areafix. Could there be something I'm doing wrong? I tried with, and without a packet password. When I asked him if there is one, he said "I can't answer your question." Those were his actual words.

OK, I am a member of HobbyNet now too. Mike is not very knowledgeable about running a FTN network. There should be NO packet password. You should only have



AREAFIX, FILEFIX and BinkP password. Try sending a netmail to AREAFIX @ 954:895/0 with your areafix password in the subject line and %LIST on line one and %HELP on line 2 and see if you get a reply. I have been getting packets from Mikes board so I know it will work for you when everything is set correctly.
