  • UTF-8 Messages

    Magicka will now convert utf-8 messages to cp437... it uses the TRANSLIT feature to get best substitutes for characters not supported by CP437

    It's not ideal, as if you have a UTF-8 Terminal it gets converted to
    CP437 then back to UTF-8.

    This should hopefully fix the weird glyphs in utf-8 messages...

    I'll upgrade everything, check permissions, test and if it fails email
    you a link late today or early tomorrow. I'm cooking an entire
    thanksgiving dinner tomorrow so I'll be chained to the kitchen.
    Andrea has to study and the kids were both going to be in town so it's
    on me. ;)

    So I upgraded, and I also changed the permissions slightly making it writable
    by all
    as well as owner... not sure what fixed it but that is working now (Saving a message).
    Just need to figure out why my binkd doesn't like Avon! LOL
