    Something kind of funny... I was getting off the freeway the other day
    and saw a lady holding a sign begging for food/money/whatever. Looking homeless. Her also homeless looking friend behind her was sitting in a folding chair looking at a cellphone (doom scrolling, no doubt).

    I don't know if I'd fault someone for having a cell phone (unless it's
    a new iPhone...) as there's virtually no way to get out of homelessness
    without one these days - and there are programs where you can get a
    free phone and pay as you go.
