Star Trek New Voyages as well as The Star Trek Original Set Tours
This is located Ticonderoga, New York.
William Shatner has been there and is scheduled for a return appearance this November 2023. Other guest Star Trek actors have also visited this
Star Trek Set Tour.

I have been to this and it is absolutely a phenomenal experience, the colors
of light upon the walls is just so right. I felt like I was actually on the Enterprise NCC-1701. I experienced the Enterprise corridors, Sick Bay, The Transporter Room, The Briefing Room, Capt. Kirk's Quarters, Engineering and of
course the Bridge and yes I have even sat in The Chair.

I started watching them when James Cawley played Kirk - although Vic
Mignona (sp?) looks the part more than James, there's something about
James that made it work. Maybe it was the pointy sideburns...

(side note - James Cawley is a professional Elvis impersonator, hence
the hair style)

They've turned the New Voyages set into a tourist attraction in upstate
New York, I'd love to visit it. I did visit a touring attraction with a
bridge reproduction several years ago, and got to sit in the captain's
chair. It was oddly emotional sitting in the chair; I tried leaning on
one elbow and rubbing my chin like Shatner in Repose.

That's very true he does the Elvis thing it's a big deal in Lake George, NY

They've turned the New Voyages set into a tourist attraction in upstate

The Star Trek Set Tour was constructed with the blueprints from Desilu
Studios. The New Voyages is also a production of James Cawley, but they don't exist because of Star Trek New Voyages. They are two different things, both are awesome.

It's interesting seeing the complaints about the size differences in
Strange New Worlds and TOS. Captain Pike's quarters are huge and have a
dining area and kitchen.

Apparently they're retconning it by saying that the crew complement
increased by 200 in SNW or so to 430 in TOS and so they had to size down
the quarters. You could imagine Captain Kirk lamenting the time that
Lieutenant Kirk went to Pike's quarters as he lay his head down on the
foam twin mattress in his quarters.

Yes even a Transporter Room you can actually stand on the transporter pads or stand in front of the console which looks real enough to function.
It was amazing experience visiting the Star Trek Set Tour, it was also fun to hear of the stories and how they made certain things. Like the transparent wall of circles, which were pieces of pvc pipe each cut to the exact same size and then glued together with a lot of patience to make a vertical wall of circles. Found in Sickbay.

I think they are working on adding more. Not sure what they will do next.
It would be amazing to see the Shuttlecraft within it's bay.

It's been a while since I have seen Pikes quarters on Strange New Worlds I have to re-enlist w/ Paramount. I usually get it annually and without commercials as I recall. I enjoyed the story arc of Picard when it was on, not knowing what really comes next accept knowing that all survive at the end of the episode.

These streaming services do add up kind of quickly , but cable sucks so bad. Not a Big Fan of Disney + due to the whole woke thing, but my wife and I tuned in for Star Wars Mandalorian, we loved every moment.
Waiting on Season IV please please...
Moff Gideon the villain in season 3 reminded me of The Reverend Al Sharpton, of which is kinda creepy.

There have been those moments in the Star Trek movies that have ripped my heart out, causing me to be very sad and then very angry.
1. Kirk's Death - "Oh My..." I couldn't stand the actor Malcolm McDowell, after this. I was like, "Who the hell, do you think you are?"
I think that this bothered Shatner too, because he wrote a book The Return. 2. Spock's Death - "I have been - and always shall be - your friend."
Makes me sad to even type last one.
3. Data's Death - in the movie Star Trek Nemesis.
4. The Destruction of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in The Wrath of Khan.
All of these characters from TOS were like family and of course the special memories of watching Star Trek TOS w/ my Dad after my mom passed way.
He used to make me SpaghettiOs w/ franks I think before it was a regular thing from Franco-American. lol.

JJ Abrams had me screaming at the Big Screen, um the warp nacelles do not
move like you would move your elbows. (eyeroll)

I am livid that because of the death of Netflix DVD service I'll never
get to see the final season of Picard and continuing seasons of Star
Trek Strange New Worlds.

I have a friend who has subscriptions to Paramount and Disney and others
and he tells me how both the final seaason of Picard and second season
of Strange New Worlds are some of the best he's seen yet.

I am not ready to go into bandrupcy subscribing to every steaming service
out there and have not even decided to stream NetFlix because they are not getting the new theater releases like Oppenheimer, Indiana Jones and
Mission Impossible. If I want to see them I have to buy the 4K Videos.

Maybe some (new) company will come up with a solution for us Blu-ray
and 4K Blu-ray people. Unfortunally from one who has never streamed
except YouTube over the internet on my desktop computer I don't have
answers.

Nor am I. I know that cable and sattelite have a lot of downsides, but I
don't think every single network (and whoever else) having a subscription streaming service is the right answer. Most would wind up paying more in
order to see everything they want to than they would for cable.

I watched an episode of SNW and at the end though "that's the best hour
of Trek I've ever seen!"

Not to rub it in, but a new show written by fans of the old show is
quite a thing.
