I'm reading up on this now and the only shooting range in my whole town is "The Binghamton Rifle Club" and their membership fees are pretty steep! Membership is $135 "with $5 dues and a $10 key fob."

Does this sound typical to you? I don't really understand it.

NY helped with one of the greatest cases that went through the Supreme Court that was the best 2A case ever.

Bruen.... NY wanted to maker it illegal to take your gun form the house to the range. Of course this was challenged all the way to the Supreme Court. NY thought they could drop the case the day before oral arguments.

Court got pissed off and grabbed a similar case and heard those arguments.

The Bruen decision was brutal to Liberals. Permits in NY are MAY issue... whereas they should be SHALL issue... If there is something holding you back legally the state SHALL issue a permit.

Other things like... ARs are bad and are military grade weapon... The courts answer to that is if it doesn't say it in the Constitution or the text and communications of the time... Recall the federalist papers.

A musket was a military gun at the time...

If the court makes anymore rulings in favor of the 2nd Amendment NY State will be open carry soon.

So, NO, ranges are cheap compared to a fine you might get from the cops.

Here its going top cost me $45 for myself and $25 for Amanda. That's me supplying the gun and ammo as well.

Florida this would be $5 each.

There is a lot to think about here... The most important thing I can see is safety. We'll end up going in a month or so. In the interim I'll be going
over gun safety and range etiquette.

By the end of this exercise Amanda will know enough about handguns to be comfortable enough to use one if she had to.

In Chinada the guns have to be locked up all the time. When we are in the US they don't have to be, and I don't always lock my carry gun up.

If I were you I'd get a small 22 cal. for range time with the kids. You can shoot that gun with little to no kick. You can learn to be more accurate with that gun.

Based on the amount of muslim men running around in many countries, I would certainly be for all women getting trained in using a handgun and keeping one in their purse. Even a small one.

You still can depending on the school. When I was in public school, they didn't offer firearms training. But they did have archery. Today, many of the "useful" classes are effectively banned in school. But in some areas, they offer firearms training in school.

So, in listening to this video I was reminded about the guys gun... He has a Sig P320 handgun.

Sig Sauer is a great manufacturer but this gun... Sig P320 has been know to accidentally discharge.

This is known. There are police departments that stopped using them for this reason.

Why its not fixed yet is beyond me... Anyway... It was funny how this lawyer brought up this guns fault.

Apparently, this part is now under investigation, and more will come I'm sure.

Apparently his gun might have "Misfired" and the sound of the misfire sparked Agents pumping 10 rounds in him.

He's still at fault... The Supreme court has ruled on this... they use what a reasonable person, cop, would do.
