Ed,
Me Too!, those drivers don't realize my driving at the Posted Speed
Limit keeps them from getting a Speeding Ticket, if there is a Law Enforcement Radar car just up ahead around the curve.
I've told local law enforcement officers that if they want to set up
a speed trap, they should do it in front of the local college, the
University Of Arkansas At Little Rock (UALR -- I'm an alumnus, and also
their ham radio club VE Team liaison). There is a 25 mph speed limit in
front of there on University Avenue...but if you drive 25 there, you'll
either be run over or shot at. Most folks do at least 40 or 50...I don't
know why they have speed limits...no one seems to obey them.
I'm not active on Amateur (Ham) Radio but I look at the letters on
their License Plate as they go pass me and in my head I will sound out those letters in Morse Code.
I'll do that at times myself...but I'm usually trying to keep my eyes
on my driving. I don't have ham gear in the car, or at home...just operating "internet radio"...but at least, I'm active on the air, and my license isn't just "a piece of paper". However, that's mainly for nets that I run...if I don't have to run a net, I usually take the night off.
I am desperately trying to figure out why Kamikaze pilots wore helmets.
To lessen their Excederin headaches?? <G>
