    If you go to the fidonet.org "What is FioNet" page, the text *does* mention "world-wide".

    Go to the "../old/snapshot" link, and it lists the other zone links.

    ..but the site as is, is a broken disaster.

    Fidonet.org has no "official" status in Fidonet - any more than the Twitter one does.
