    Hi everyone,

I went digging through my storage shed the other day and found my working T/S 1000, complete with 16K RAM pack. Don't know what I'll do with it. I used to have a C64 and a CoCo 2, but I had to sell the C64 and the CoCo 2 was stolen.

I taught myself BASIC on that CoCo 2 then went into more adventures on the C64.

    Those were good days...

What, no love for the T/S 1000? Yeah, me neither. I bought it 'cause it was the cheapest I could afford at the time. But thanks to that migrain...er, membrane keyboard and its four-function keys, I quickly yearned for something better.

It was a gift so I did what I could but even at my young age, that membrane keyboard was terrible. I believe I got the CoCo 2 next in 1984. I have used the "ovcc" emulator for the CoCo and it works great but it's not the same thing as having the physical computer.

I might donate the T/S 1000 to a computer museum. I have the original manual that came with the T/S 1000 so that might be worth something.

Dang, I remember having one too and would love to get my hands on one again.

I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with it. It's sitting safely in my storage room for now.

That was my first home computer. Wrote a couple of BASIC programs with
it, bought a couple of games on cassette. I hated how jiggling the case
would upset the RAM pack and reset the entire thing.

Not much later, I took a computer class in high school on 32K commodore
PETs and got a C64 for Christmas. I was one of those kids who got a
modem for Christmas and sat up calling BBSes on Mom and Dad's phone
line, wanting to set up my killer 1337 board when they were asleep.
    With one floppy drive.
