    Seth,

So I just started going too church this past year in feb. I tried
asking a girl out at church but felt I was rejected for asking advice
on how to go about this. Well the next day after that happened my mom passed away. But sence she's been gone its like I'm

First, my condolences on the loss of your Mom. I lost my Mom just over
2 years ago...and both my Dad and my wife nearly 15 years ago...2 1/2
    months apart.

Second, I was in a church years ago, in the singles department...and
this one girl lamented "Lord, if you don't give me a man, I'm going
to die!!", and that turned me off. No wonder I didn't marry until I
    was 43, but I never dreamed I'd be a widower at 47. While I dated a
few women for a short time afterwards, at this stage of life, folks
have so much "baggage"...they or their kids are in trouble with the
law, they can't manage their money, they let their kids treat them
like crap, etc. I don't want or need that extra drama in my life.
While I'm busier than when I was married, some days, it does get
    awfully lonely.

Third, I was ostracized by area churches several years ago...and
it verified the truth that "Christians are the only army that buries
their wounded". With all the health issues I have now, while The Lord
is still giving me poems for my Gospel Poetry Collection (2 in the
last 2 days), it's better that I stay home.

I will admit that I can relate to the individual who "yelled at God".
Two months after my Mom passed away, field rats somehow worked their
way into the structure, and I had to spend a ton of money to get rid
of them...most of that was after her death. Then, early this year, I
was involved in a car wreck (not my fault), and that really messed
things up. And, to add insult to injury, just before my birthday,
the toilet in one of the bathrooms malfunctioned, causing the
tank to overflow, and flood both bathrooms. I sobbed like a baby
with a soiled diaper for nearly a week. I was so despondent that
when my cousin called me on my birthday, I was bawling so bad,
that I nearly hung up on her. If I ever considered suicide, that
    was the time.

    Daryl

... Please don't startle me. I tend to poop easily.

You have to bid your time with Christian women who do not want to risk getting into a relationship with someone that will make them struggle
    with unwanted advances.

Just be around, let her get to know you so trust can be built. And respect any boundaries she puts up.

At some point she will let you know if she even wants to hold hands.

Trust is the most important thing.

I note a lot of Christian women marry young. For obvious reasons.

Get a Bible if you don't already have one. Get the translation the preacher uses. And then get a copy of "The Message".

The message is a contempory translation of the Bible aimed at young people, but readable by all.
